Iggy Goes Deep

I love watching Andre Iguodala play for the 76ers.  Iggy is a freak athlete and has developed a pretty good outside game since he’s been in the league.  (He also has the distinct honor of ending my junior year basketball season when his Springfield Lanphier Lions beat my Pekin Dragons in a 2002 IHSA Super Sectional game…don’t worry Iggy, I’m not bitter.)

Check out this full court shot by Iggy on Monday night when the 76ers played the Denver Nuggets. It’s really too bad that the buzzer had already sounded and the shot didn’t count. Also, since when did the full court shot become patented by LeBron James? (Notice the stupid, amateur announcer who says “Ala, LeBron!”)

I may not be a curator for the Basketball Hall of Fame museum but I’m fairly certain that the full court shot existed long before King James was kind enough to grace the basketball world with his presence and his highly edited trick shot commercials.
