The Missing Muhammad Ali Opponent: “Sweet Jimmy”

If you read only one story on the internet tonight, please make it this one.

ESPN.com’s Outside the Lines reporter Wright Thompson spent the better part of six years looking for a former opponent of Muhammad Ali nicknamed “Sweet Jimmy” who seemingly disappeared in Miami, FL since fighting Ali in the 1960’s. His search took him all over the most downtrodden and scary parts of Miami to find an almost non-existent man.

The ensuing story is very eye opening and is a fantastic read. Sports journalism like this needs to be supported. Please give it a look.
